Basics of Reading Radiographs

Dr. Eleanor Kellon is the owner of Equine Nutritional Solutions and co-owner of the ECIR group.

The purpose of this course is to give you enough basic information on reading radiographs that you will be able to understand what your veterinarian is seeing and describing.  The advantages as well as limitations will be thoroughly discussed. We will cover the standard views taken of each area, and when/why other views are taken. The radiographic anatomy section of each week will orient you so that you can translate what is seen on the film to its location inside the horse.

This course fulfills the reading radiograph course requirement for PHCP students.
