Boots are an integral part of healthy barefoot hoof care. Choosing the right hoof boot for your clients and their horses is an art and can be tricky. Join PHCP Practitioner, Sara Hunt, in this webinar to learn about different types of hoof boots, when to use them, factors to keep in mind when deciding on a boot model, common booting problems, options for customization, and how to boot successfully.
Sara started down the barefoot rabbit hole in 2006 with her first horse, Prophecy, who was facing retirement. Instead, with the benefit of barefoot hoof care and booting, she spent another 10 years enjoying the trails (and is still enjoying life at 36). The rest of Sara’s family horses followed the barefoot journey, and over the years Sara used many boots on her horses as new options became available.
After years of helping others with their horses on the side, Sara started offering her expertise professionally. That quickly expanded into trimming, rehabilitation work, and glue-ons as a full time hoof care professional.
Sara is a dealer for EasyCare, Equine Fusion, Scoot Boot, Cavallo, and HorseTech as well as a Ghost Treeless Saddle fitter. When not trimming and booting horses in the Southern California area, Sara is at the barn with Prophecy and Finn or at home with her husband, son, dogs Mara and Lola, and three cats.
This event is approved for 1.5 CE credits with the IAPF.
