Horses are our kindred spirits. We co-evolved in an undeniably impactful way. I’m a lifelong “horse girl” seeking the best, most natural and healthy ways to honor these beautiful creatures and care for them in ways that prioritize how they feel!
A professionally trained engineer-turned-hoof trimmer, I have a special interest in rehabilitating the hooves of horses retiring from racing, but I love all horses the same. I enjoy restoring hooves to their intended design, and occasionally will use advanced technologies including composites, wedges, packing material and casting as needed to biomimic the natural healthy hoof. I tend to take a more conservative approach to ensure horses remain comfortable throughout the process; perfection takes time… true perfection does not exist, but is still worth pursuing. I am open-minded and always learning more, and I love to collaborate – owner, bodywork, veterinarian, and trainer input is valuable and sometimes necessary!
I am currently accepting clients in Portland OR, SW Washington, and Prineville OR/along my existing route there. Please visit my website for more info and feel free to reach out via text, email, or inquiry form if you’re interested in getting on my schedule 🦄🩵
