I have been a natural hoof care practitioner since 2012 after completing Ida Hammer’s Whole Horse Hoof Care Certification program. I then completed my PHCP certification in 2017 and achieved mentor status in 2019. I am always continuing my education through PHCP webinars and clinics as well as events for other organizations and with private clinicians. I will always be a student of the horse!
I have experience in trimming for rehabilitation, performance and pleasure riding in many disciplines. I am an Easycare and Scoot Boot dealer and I really enjoy helping my clients reach their riding goals through the use of hoof boots, glue-on boots, easy shoes and equicast when necessary. Further, I enjoy helping owners tailor their horse keeping practices to give them the best shot at a successful barefoot lifestyle.
I travel in a radius within 50 miles of Manchester Center, VT. That does take me into some counties in Eastern NY. An email, text message or phone call will get you in touch with me and I do my very best to respond within 48 hours.
I am always happy to book mentorships for PHCP students; I ask that mentorships be booked 5-6 weeks in advance so I have time to give my clients a heads up and make sure to plan the day to suit the student’s needs. I work with a local equine rescue so that along with my current client base provides a good experience for students of all levels. I am located about an hour away from the Albany International Airport and there are a multitude of lovely accommodations in my area for visiting students to stay close by. The best times of year to book mentorships would be Spring-Fall, winter here can be unpredictable and travel might get tricky!
